Sitges, a town and municipality in the province of Barcelona in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, belongs to the Garraf region. The town is located on the Mediterranean Coast, 36 km south of the county capital.
The city has preserved important medieval references. It offers an impressive architectural and cultural heritage, the fruit of artists such as Santiago Rusiñol, Ramón Casas, Miquel Utrillo or Charles Deering. Thanks to them, Sitges was a place of reference for writers, musicians and other intellectuals and became an important center for the dissemination of Modernism.

It is worth mentioning the innumerable places of tourist interest such as the Church of San Bartolomeo and Santa Tecla, which is a baroque temple from the 17th century, the Casa de la Vila, a neo-Gothic building from the 19th century, the Palau Maricel, in which medieval, renaissance and baroque elements and the Casa Taller of the writer and painter Santiago Rusiñol, in a modernist style, come together.

For lovers of festivals, Sitges stands out: The International Vintage Car Rally (Festival of National Tourist Interest), The International Film Festival of Catalonia and The Corpus Christi celebration.

The popularity of this city has been growing, thanks to a great tourist infrastructure, with facilities and three marinas (Puerto de Ginesta, Garraf and Aiguadolç), which put the city in first place, with the most marinas in Spain. Finally, for those tourists looking for a place to relax, Sitges has a total of 17 beaches along the Mediterranean coast.
